BELLVILLE: Betty Jean Lynn Mosley, 89, passed away November 1, 2026 at her home. She was born June 25, 1937 to Ben F. Lynn and Ruby Wood Lynn and was raised on the family farm in Manassas, Georgia. Betty attended Manassas school as a young girl and later Reidsville High School. Betty was proud and happy to welcome four children into her life. Terry, Joy, Judy and Glynn. Betty enjoyed her children and those in the neighborhood. It was not uncommon to have several “extras” around the table while living in Savannah. In early family life Betty and her then husband, Harold Moseley, would foster a number of babies and young children along with four of their own. These early years were filled with trips to the coast at Shellman Bluff. Betty enjoyed boating, skiing and she could make the best shrimp perloe’. During these years Betty became a cosmetologist and had a salon in her home.

When the family moved back to Tattnall County, Betty was always eager to learn new things, she worked in retail in a jewelry store as well as a florist. Betty enjoyed growing plants in her flower beds as well as making arrangements bringing beauty to life and to others. Always staying busy, she was a devoted member of Bellville United Methodist Church and the Elma Hearn Sunday School Class and a original and active member of the Bellville Loins Club. Betty took pride in family. Her Children brought great joy to her life. She acquired additional children through marriage to Rudolph Riggs and Ed Mosley. Betty’s heart welcomed each child into her life and heart as her own and gained the new title as “B or Grandma B”. She enjoyed her later years reading, painting, watching movies and tending to her flowers until poor health limited this.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Ruby Lynn; son, Terry Moseley; Husbands, Harold Moseley, father of her children, Rudoloph Riggs and Ed Mosley.
