Billy Towne Waters

CLAXTON: Billy Towne Waters, 90, passed away on May 24, 2024. He proudly served in the United States Army. Billy retired from the City of Claxton, yet spent his retirement as a self-employed plumber.

He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Ann Waters; daughter-in-law, Betty Waters; parents, Willie and Ada Lou Waters; and brother, James Oscar Waters.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Tracy Waters; two sons, Allen (Joanna) Waters, Charles Waters and Jeanine Hutcheson; grandchildren, Marcia Coley, Ashley Waters, Dusty (Rachel) Waters, Lee Hutcheson, Beth Hutcheson and Erica (Bobby) DeLoach; great-grands, Jacob Hendrix, Carson Coley, Caedyn Coley, Jasmine Waters, Eve Waters, Dakota Haire, Brianna Haire, Briley Haire, Henry Haire, Leanna DeLoach and Carter DeLoach; and great-great-granddaughter, Aella Mikel.

VISITATION: Sunday, May 26, 2024, 12:30 p.m. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: Graveside, Sunday, May 26, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery.

BURIAL: Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery.
