CLAXTON: Darlene ‘Kitty’ McCorkle, aged 86, died peacefully at her home in Claxton on Wednesday, October 14.
She was born in Guyton, Ga. to the late Mac and Mattie Medlock.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Carlyle McCorkle.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her step-daughters, Sylvia Cross and Debra Wells (Stewart Prather); step-granddaughters, Desiree Cross (Hanes), Sarah Wells (Adam Fallon) and Anna Wells; step great-grandsons, Cartman and Schroeder Cross-Dunn; and her beloved cat Pixie.
She was well-cared for and loved by Wanda Moseley, Fran Strickland, Blondie Richards, Pat Dixon, Edna Collins and Celia Filla.
FUNERAL: There will be an 11 a.m., Octobter 24 graveside service at Brewton Cemetery with Rev. Nathan Pittman of Claxton Church of God officiating.
REMEMBRANCE: In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Savannah Humane Society in her name.
SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE OBSERVED DURING THE GRAVESIDE SERVICE, DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
