Harriett Haire Sapp

CLAXTON: Harriett Haire Sapp, 72, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Ogeechee Area Hospice surrounded by her family. Born January 11, 1948, she was the daughter of Lulene Rogers Haire and the late Wesley Haire.
A 1966 graduate of Claxton High School, she retired from the Evans County School system after 28 years in food service. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and was a member of Eason Chapel Church.

SURVIVORS: her husband of 52 years, Randall Sapp; two daughters, Sheila (Chris) Blackburn and Stacey (Russ) Dees; one son, Joey ‘Bear’ (Lindsey) Sapp; five grandchildren, Maggie Dees, Chandler Blackburn, Mila and Wilson Sapp and Holden Chester. She is also survived by her mother, Lulene Haire; three brothers, Jimmy (Brenda) Haire, Thomas (Sharon) Haire and Wayne (Cathy) Haire; two sisters, Jean Martin and Elaine (Bob) Akins, all of Claxton, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE OBSERVED DURING THE VISITATION AND CHAPEL SERVICE, DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.


VISITATION: Tuesday, September 29, 2020, from 5-7:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.

PALLBEARERS: Stephen Brown, Dan Eason, Wesley Jenkins, Adam Martin, Ronnie Sapp and Jason Stone.

BURIAL: Haire Family Cemetery.
