Herman Patton(Pat) Martin

CLAXTON: Herman Patton (Pat) Martin, 72, passed away peacefully at his home April 30, 2019. He was born on February 23, 1947 in Collins, Georgia. He loved sitting on his deck at home on a hill overlooking the farm he grew up on and loved fondly. Pat loved music and was an accomplished guitarist playing at many events during his younger years. He was a 1965 graduate of Collins High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Henry and Leona Martin; his wife, Kay DeLoach Martin, he has a very special uncles and aunt; David Martin, Royce Martin, Paul Martin and Virginia Todd and stepson Stacy DeLoach.

SURVIVORS: to cherish his memory is his daughter, Melanie Williamson of Brunswick, Georgia; mother, Montez DeLoach of Mendes, Georgia; siblings, Gwen (Greg) Strickland of Claxton, Georgia, Tony Hall and Richard (ReBecca) Hall of Collins, Georgia, Linda (Dwayne) Cowart and Gail (Larry) Ray of Reidsville, Georgia; grandson, Micah Williamson of Brunswick, Georgia; special uncle, Ellis Martin of Cedar Crossing, Georgia; stepchildren, Donna (Mark) Dement and Connie(John) Doepker of Statesboro, Georgia and Bonnie (Joel) Thompson of Claxton, Georgia and special friend, Rebecca Hunter of Claxton, Georgia; several nieces and nephews also survive.

VISITATION: Friday, May 3, 2019, 9:30a.m. – 11:00a.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
