Irene Dasher Durrence

CLAXTON: Irene Dasher Durrence, 91, passed away September 13, 2018, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. The Tattnall County native lived most of her life in Evans County where she and her late husband managed J. R. Durrence Farms. She was a member of Bay Branch Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Durrence was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Durrence; her parents, Loren and Julia Dasher; nine brothers and two sisters.

SURVIVORS: two sons, Ronnie Durrence (Sharon) and Wayne Durrence, both of Claxton; one daughter, Judy (Stoy) Martin of Claxton; three grandchildren, Stacey Crosby and Adam and Scott Durrence; one great-grandchild; sister in-law, Betty NeSmith Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: Sunday, September 16, 2018, 3-7:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: Monday, September 17, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at Bay Branch Primitive Baptist Church with Eld. Tommy McGee officiating.

BURIAL: Bay Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
