CLAXTON: James Reginald ‘Reggie’ Todd, 69, passed away July 23, 2020, at his home. Reggie was a native and lifelong resident of Evans County and a graduate of Claxton High School’s 1970 Class. He grew up on a farm and loved working with the horses, eventually getting into Barrel Racing and Quarter Horse Racing. He was a Vietnam Veteran and Green Beret with the U.S. Army and later worked at Fort Stewart as a weaponry instructor. He was a member of Bull Creek Baptist Church. Reggie dearly loved his wife, children and grandchildren.
Reggie was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Todd; his parents, Joe and Joyce Todd; and sister, Jana Todd.
SURVIVORS: his wife of 46 years, Jana Todd of Claxton; Sons, Jeremy (Patti) Todd of Richmond Hill and Justin (Kelly) Todd of Claxton; Daughter, Jan (Michael) Pound of Statesboro; Brothers, Ronnie Jo (Paula) Todd and Marty (Teresa) Todd, all of Claxton; Grandchildren, Victoria Todd, Ethan Todd, Garrett Todd, Jamie Pound and Adam Pound; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
VISITATION: Sunday, July 26, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Sunday, July 26, 2020, 3:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.
