COBBTOWN: Kevin “Cornbread” F. Lowery, 48, passed away August 26, 2021 at Optim Medical Center in Tattnall County after his battle with COVID. Born in Savannah, but he spent most of his childhood in Macon, then moved to Brooklet to live with his sister, before making his home in Cobbtown with his wife and family. He was an awesome husband, step-dad, brother, uncle and friend. He loved to barbeque and referred to himself as the “master chef”. He took great pride in all of his hard work, including his painting career and his hobbies. He was a jokester, enjoyed playing video games and fishing. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, C.W. and Rama Davis; parents, Boyd Duskey and Sonja Davis; Brothers, Wilson Sheley, Richard Allen Sheley and Michael Scott Sheley.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Dawn Lowery of Cobbtown, Ga.; step-children, Tyler and Austin Heeke also Lillian and Ariel Whitfield, all of Cobbtown, Ga.; two sisters, Esther (Tab) Wells of Brooklet, Ga., Rama (Ron) McClenny of Lawrenceville, Ga.; mother and father-in-law, Jaunita Holland and Amos Rogers of Claxton, Ga., and Randall Mulrooney of Kite, Ga.; brother-in-law, Chris (Shelly) Mulrooney of Kite, Ga.; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
VISITATION: Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 11 am – 1 pm at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
