Leo Hub Rogers

CLAXTON: Leo “Hub” Rogers of Claxton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Leo C. Rogers and Viola Heath Rogers. Leo grew up with a strong work ethic and a deep love for the outdoors. He was a very devoted son to the elder care of his father, mother, and mother-in-law. For thirty years, he worked for Evans Concrete. Hub was content to be at home working in his shop. He was a very patient man, slow to anger.

SURVIVORS: Leo is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Sarah E. Rogers; children, Lori Smith (Josh) and Luke Rogers (Kasey); 4 grandchildren; Joanna, Fallon, Dillon, and Noah; sister, Angela Harden (Bobby); mother-in-law, Laura Mae Sapp; nieces and nephews; Melanie Stark, Melissa Butler, Jason Sapp, Megan Suarez and Lee Tidwell. His beloved dog, Rudy was a special loyal friend for 14 years. To the end, he cherished and proudly wore a bracelet made by his granddaughter, Joanna. He is greatly missed by many community friends and extended family.

VISITATION: Monday, September 14, 2026, 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: Monday, September 14, 2026, 11:00 AM. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: Bull Creek Cemetery will be private.
