Linda Gail Barrow Wilder, 58 years old, passed at her home in Ladson, SC, on November 12, 2016, following a brief struggle with advanced colon cancer. Edward “Eddie” Manzy Barrow, II, passed at Moncks Corner Medical Center, Moncks Corner, SC, on February 12, 2021, following a very unexpected heart attack, at the age of 59. Born December 17, 1957, and April 5, 1961, respectively, they were the children of Edward Manzy and Nina Clara Sprinkle Barrow. Both are survived by their parents and siblings, Lola Marie Groves of St. Louis, MO, and Charles Jeffrey “Jeff” LeBlanc of North Charleston, SC. Linda is also survived by her daughter, Jessica Marie Wilder, of Round O, SC. Both were preceded in death by their nephew LCpl Edward Glenn Rhoads, USMC, of Beaufort, SC.
Linda and Eddie spent their early years on their grandmother’s farm in Glennville, GA, along with their sister, Lola. Their father, a U.S. Marine, remarried in 1970 to Nina C. Sprinkle LeBlanc and, thereafter, they lived with their father, new mama and new brother Jeff at various duty stations on the Eastern seaboard. Both graduated high school and, thereafter, pursued various adventures in life. Loved immensely, they will be greatly missed.
A joint Memorial Service will be held at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home, 513 W Main Street, Claxton, GA, 30417, on May 31, 2025. The family will receive visitors at 10 a.m. followed by the service at 11 a.m., with burial at Canoochee Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Canoochee Cemetery Fund, c/o Danny Sapp, 5073 Rufus Sapp Road, Claxton, GA 30417.
