CLAXTON/MANASSAS: Martha Blocker Lott, 78, passed away February 28, 2017, at Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a native of Evans County but resided in Manassas since 1975. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, where she enjoyed many years of keeping the children in the nursery, and where she praised and worshipped her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was raised in a large family and even though she was not the oldest she became the Matriarch of the family, and enjoyed cooking wonderful meals for all that would come. She especially enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her children and grandchildren and the family looked forward to what they knew would be a great meal. She enjoyed her flowers, but her most precious gift of love went to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lott was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Gladys Blocker, her twin sister, Mary Blocker Chesser and a sister, Mae Rene Young.
SURVIVORS: her husband of 60 years, Sam Lott of Manassas; her mother, Ada Blocker Haire of Manassas; two sons, Sammy (Cindy) Lott of Bellville and Kirk Lott of Reidsville; one daughter, Pama Lott (Andy) Caraway of Bellville; three brothers, William (Carrol) Blocker of Lancaster, SC., Jimmy (Caroline) Blocker of Hagan and Curtis Blocker of Manassas; five sisters, Willie Nell Blocker Brown of Claxton, Alene Blocker Tootle of Claxton, Joyce Blocker (Neil) Jackson of Cody, WY., Reba Blocker (Lee) Walter of Cody, WY., and Delena Blocker Lamb of Claxton; seven grandchildren, Jared (Ashlee) Lott, Kyle (Mary Beth) Lott, Nathan Lott, Chad (Rachel) Lott, David Lott, Derek Caraway and Andrea Caraway; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: March 1, 2017, 5-9:00 p.m.., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: March 2, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at Eastside Baptist Church in The Rock, with Pastor Marty Walker and Dr. Matt Brady officiating.
BURIAL: Bay Branch Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS: Kevin Young, Bill Thompson, Dillon Brown, Raymond Simmons, Rusty Brannen and Matt Blocker.
