Muriel Anderson Strickland

CLAXTON: Muriel Anderson Strickland, 86, passed away October 8, 2016, at North Spring Assisted Living. The Bulloch County native resided all of her married life in Evans County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Muriel was a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking cakes and decorating them for all occasions, especially when the children enjoyed them so much. She was past member of the Evans Heights Golf Club.
Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her husband, George W. (Jack) Strickland, Jr., her parents, William Gordon and Inez Anderson, two sisters, Nell Baggs and Ruby Miller and one brother, Waldo Gordon Anderson.
SURVIVORS: Wynette (Jerry) Salter, Ricky (Terri) Salter, both of Claxton and Sheila Watkins of Rome, GA; nephews, Randall Miller, Andy Miller, Van Lee Anderson and Ken Baggs.
VISITATION: Thursday, October 13, 2016, 5-7:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: Friday, October 14, 2016, 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Claxton.
BURIAL: Brewton Cemetery, Hagan, GA.
