Ona Rogers Coleman

BELLVILLE: Ona Rogers Coleman, 87, passed away August 25, 2021, under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She served her Lord and church by playing piano and being a loyal choir member for fifty plus years at Bay Branch Primitive Baptist Church. She was also a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. She served as postmaster for 4 years at the Bellville post office and was well known for her dedication as Bellville City Clerk for thirty years. Her hobbies included reading, crocheting, cross stitch - anything using her hands. Her beautiful sewing abilities were showcased in the clothes she made for herself and the girls You would find her outside mowing her yard which was always immaculate.
She will forever be remembered as a loving mother and friend.
Ona was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Coleman; her son, Jerry Coleman, Jr.; her parents, Grady and Willouise Rogers along with her brother, Grady Mack Rogers, Jr.

SURVIVORS: two daughters, Debra (Mike) McGowan and Dedra (David) Greene all of Bellville, Ga.; three grandsons, Jeremy (Alania) Greene of Brooklet, Ga.; Coleman Greene of Bellville, Ga. and Chris (Kate) McGowan of McDonough, Ga.; six great- grandchildren, Bailey McGowan, Atticus McGowan, Jack McGowan and Cash McGowan all of McDonough, Ga.; Max Greene and Maddux Greene all of Brooklet, Ga.; sister, Martha Jo McCall of Statesboro, Ga; sister-in-law, Wanda Rogers of Manassas, Ga; sister-in-law Carolyn Coleman Davis of Murfeesboro, TN; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE OBSERVED DURING THE VISITATION AND FUNERAL DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at
Bay Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

OFFICIATING: Bro. Billy Miller and Rev. Gary Few.

BURIAL: Bay Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS: Alan Groover, O.H. Daniel, Keith Anderson, Darin McCoy, Jody McCoy Greg Clark, and Danny Bell.
