CLAXTON: Phyllis Sapio Anderson, 73, passed away February 21, 2020 at her home. She was the daughter of Etheleen DeLoach and Carmine Sapio. She was born in The Brox, NYC and lived in Evans County most of her life. She is a member of First Baptist Church, Claxton, GA. Phyllis worked and retired from Department of Corrections in 2012. Phyllis was a loving and caring wife, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to her family and co-workers. She loved to fish and travel with her husband, Johnny. She was preceded in death by her parents.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Johnny Anderson, 3 sons, Rick Anderson of Columbia, SC, John (Hailey) Anderson, of Springfield, GA. Derrick (Amy) Anderson of Newington, GA. Four grandchildren: John Ryan, Abbey, Dylan, and Amber Anderson. Sisters: Deborah (Dennis) Stanfield and Marie (David) Brock of Glennville and Dorothy (Donnie) Morris, Claxton, GA. Brothers: Lehmon (Amy) DeLoach, of Alabama and Al Harold of Albany GA. and many nieces and nephews.
