Raymond Paul Lewis

CLAXTON: Raymond Lewis, 79, passed away on August 19, 2023 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia. Raymond was a lifelong resident of Evans County and a member of Claxton First Church.

Raymond retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Company after thirty-four years of service. He enjoyed following high school football, watching NASCAR, and had a deep love and connection to his family. Raised as one of ten children, he was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and uncle.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Elaine Lewis; brothers, Emory, Enman, Gene, and Allen Lewis; sister, Maxine Lewis Cox; and parents, Lehmon and Avis Lewis.

SURVIVORS: his wife of fifty-nine years, Brenda Lewis of Caxton, Ga.; daughter, Shana Lewis of Claxton, Ga.; sisters, Joyce Norman, Geraldine Harn, Reba Smith, and Doris Jones; many nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: Tuesday, August 22, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at Claxton First Church, Claxton, Ga.
