CLAXTON: Robbie Sapp, 83, passed away April 8, 2018 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. The Candler County native lived most of his life in Evans County. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and served as a deacon and helped build the educational building at Eastside Baptist Church. He owned Sapp’s Dry Wall business for 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Loree Sapp, brother, Carl Sapp, son-in-law Robbie Jernigan, brother-in-law, Johnny Waters, and sister-in-law, Martha Sapp.
SURVIVORS: wife, Lucille Rogers Sapp of Claxton; son, Darryl (Valerie) Sapp of Pembroke; daughters, Rhonda (Phillip) Richey of Claxton, Lisa Jernigan of Claxton and Cindy (David) Wiggins of Walton, KY; brother Irvin Sapp of Claxton; sisters Loretta Waters of Claxton and Ellene (Bobby) Sanderlin of Gray, GA; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

BURIAL: Friday, April 13, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
