CLAXTON: Roderick L. Gibson, 72, passed away November 20, 2016, at his residence. He was a native of Evans County and was of Methodist faith. He was a mechanic and enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching westerns on TV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Lee and Catherine Gibson.
SURVIVORS: five daughters, Sandra Bailey of Claxton, Cathy Letson of Daisy, Kim Conaway and Tressie Lewis, both of Claxton, and Rebecca Gibson of Nashville, Ga.; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: will be held at a later date.
