Sandra Sikes Mcdowell

CLAXTON: Sandra Sikes McDowell, 60, passed away March 14, 2022. Sandra started Auto Electric in Claxton in 1990 and it has been in operation for over 30 years. She was known in the community as the lady who worked on cars. She was also known for her lengthy Facebook posts bragging about her family and sharing what was happening at Auto Electric. Sandra enjoyed worshiping with her family at various Christian churches. She was particularly grateful to God for her family and Jesus’ many blessings in her life. She loved everyone, especially her grandchildren. She appreciated cleanliness and organization, generous to anyone, and a hard worker who passed along her dependable work ethic to her daughters.

Sandra was preceded in death by, her parents, Jerry Allen and Patricia Sue Sikes; and a brother, Harold Sikes.

SURVIVORS: husband, Rickey McDowell of Claxton, Ga.; daughters, Melissa (Tony) Schubert of Statesboro, Ga.; Christy (Jeremy) DeLoach of Hazlehurst, Ga.; Brandy (David) Donnan of Glennville, Ga.; brother, Buddy Minis of Carrollton, Ga.; best friend, Phyllis Mills of Claxton, Ga.; grandchildren, Cayden Deloach, Katie Gardner, Dane Gardner, Conner DeLoach, Luke Donnan and Lydia Donnan; several nieces and nephews.


SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE OBSERVED DURING THE SERVICE, DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.


VISITATION: Thursday, March 17, 2022, Hagan United Methodist Church from 10:00am – 11:00am.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Thursday, March 17, 2022, Hagan United Methodist Church at 11:00am.
